HitFilm Express looks cool, but not a fan of having to sign up for an account and giving them my email address to use it. But, I will be keeping it around and using it for some personal projects. My only worry is the additional training and learning curve my users would have to go through to set it up, and then they'd have to use something else to edit if necessary. OBS Studio is really a great option, so thanks to those of you who encouraged me to check that out. OpenShot looks like the best 100% free alternative, but it doesn't record direct from webcam and since my users are used to using just one program for recording from webcam, editing, and exporting, VideoPad was really the only one that combined all three of those functions and "felt" a lot like Movie Maker. I decided to go with VideoPad because that is the most similar to Windows Movie Maker, and it's not too expensive.
